Day 3

My religion professor has probably known me longer than I have known myself.  He taught my mom's seminary class when she was in high school and lucky for me, I'm the spitting image of her. :) Brother Parker is one incredible scholar when it comes to the Book of Mormon and I absolutely love his class.

At the beginning of the semester, he told us about a requirement for the class.  We have to read from the Book of Mormon for 30 minutes each day.  No excuses.  At first this challenged me... a lot.  Don't get me wrong, I read the Book of Mormon daily but 30 minutes seemed out of control but I did it anyways.  And it's a good thing I did.

The Book of Mormon is a life changing book.  It helps you realize the love of God which is so important to me.  I noticed as I took on this challenge, that the more I delved into that book, the more I discovered about my relationship with my Heavenly Father.  He loves me.  No matter what I do, He is always there. I don't think I would have come to that realization without the help of Brother Parker and his class.  The Book of Mormon is the most sacred book I own and I should be in it every day.  I owe a lot of my testimony to that book and to Brother Parker.

Thank you Brother Parker for teaching me to recognize the Lord's hand in my life.
